FUNDRAISING EVENTS

 

The PTA organizes several event-based fundraisers throughout the year to generate revenue while fostering a supportive and engaged Marshall Lane community. The success of these events depends on the participation of many dedicated volunteers and participation of our families. Details can be found via Thursday envelopes or at http://www.marshalllanepta.org/calendar.

Pumpkin Walk

This annual fundraiser is our first and most anticipated family fun event! Held in October, the school turns into a Halloween-inspired carnival filled with exciting activities for kids of all ages to enjoy.

Book Fairs

These events are wonderful opportunities to buy books for our children, gifts for friends and the school. During each of the multi-day fairs, a Family Night is held, often highlighted by faculty book readings and other activities for the entire family to enjoy. There are two book fairs held during the year: a fair with Hicklebee’s in December and a fair with Scholastic in May. A percentage of all purchases goes back to the PTA.

Walk-a-thon

This fun-filled event builds community and school spirit, while raising funds for valuable programs. Students receive event shirts (provided by the PTA and event sponsors) and walk laps to raise donations from family, friends and neighbors. With lap incentives and grade-level prize winners, it is a fitness-focused event that kids love.

Spring Fling

This party is our biggest fundraising event of the year! Bid on fabulous items in the silent and live auctions while enjoying an adult-only social evening with great food, music, drinks and friends

Bingo Nights

Bring your whole family to play this classic game alongside Marshall Lane friends and win prizes!

Restaurant Nights

The PTA partners with local restaurants and a percentage of your bill (15-20%) goes directly to fund our school’s activities. Last year, these included Aqui! and Slices & Scoops, which incorporated Round Table Pizza and Baskin Robbins. What better excuse to go out with your family!

Ad Hoc Events

The PTA also hosts one-time events, where a portion of sales goes back to our school. These may be shopping events at a local store or a special night at a local kids play center. Previous events have been held with Learning Express, Toss Boutique and Jungle Island.

 

ON-GOING, ON CAMPUS FUNDRAISERS

 

In addition to event-based fundraisers, the PTA coordinates a variety of on-going fundraisers. Watch your Thursday envelopes for dates and details.

 

An array of Marshall Lane apparel is available to purchase throughout the year. Marshall Lane often hosts School Spirit Days for us to proudly wear our Mustang gear - and they are great for field trips too! Logo Wear order forms are available in the school office - or purchase your items directly from our table at Back to School events!


Goodwill Donation Days Two Saturdays during the year (please see calendar for dates), we will host a Goodwill truck in the upper parking lot for collecting your used goods and recycling. The more space we fill, the more cash Marshall Lane earns. We accept all general recycling, as well as toys, books, clothes, shoes and even e-waste! 


Bake Sales Homemade treats made by parents are sold at school and at PTA events. 100% of Bake Sale proceeds go to the PTA. 


Shopping Cards Our shopping card program is a great way of raising money for the school by doing virtually nothing! By estimating how you spend money throughout the month and purchasing gift cards accordingly, our school receives a percentage back (ranging from 2% to 20%)! Forms are distributed periodically in the Thursday envelope, and are also available on web site and in the office. They also make great gifts! 


Box Tops You know those little box tabs on the top of some of your favorite products? Well… collecting them can help our teachers. Look for them on all of your grocery products (i.e. Coke Rewards on bottle caps, Campbell’s “Labels for Education”, Box Tops for Education, V8 Fusion and V8 Splash juice lids). Simply clip them out and drop them off in the office or through the Thursday envelope.

PARTNERSHIPS WITH LOCAL AND ONLINE RETAILERS

 

By establishing partnerships, we can raise money for our school by simply purchasing the things we need through vendors we may likely shop with already. 

 

Register your Lucky, Save Mart or Food Maxx gorcery club card at escrip.com. If you register your credit cards then the school gets credit no matter where you shop! 


When you make a purchase at Hicklebee’s, simply let the clerk know that you would like Marshall Lane to receive credit. Points are accumulated for our library to use toward the purchase of new books!


To earn money for our school at Gene’s, sign up for a Gene’s of Saratoga Community Card. To enroll, download the form at www.marshalllanepta.com, complete and bring to Gene’s.


eScrip is an effortless way to earn money for the PTA. By registering your credit card at www.escrip.com, a percentage of your day-to-day purchases at eScrip merchants is donated to the PTA. It only takes a few minutes to register and the school receives thousands of dollars each year from this program!
