A new school year = new opportunities to help create fun events and essential programs at Marshall Lane. See the current needs below and let us know if you'd like to be part of any of these great PTA programs.
WANTED: Art Connections Chair - Art Connections is a standards based visual arts program that consists of 8-10 lessons consisting of art history, art appreciation and an art activity.
Photography Coordinator – Enlists and coordinates a team of volunteer photographers to take photographs at Marshall Lane events for the Yearbook.
Bingo Night Chair – Manages the details of producing an evening of Bingo and fun for Marshall Lane families.
Play Day Chair – Works with the PE teacher to organize and put on the annual, end-of-year, day of water-play activities for the K-3rd grade students.
Project Cornerstone ABC Readers - Read a book once a month to students in a classroom, then conduct activities and discussions based on the anti-bully lessons in the book. We need a reader for each classroom (unless you would like to read to more than one class).
Project Cornerstone apprentice – Our Project Cornerstone Chair will be leaving after this year, so we are looking for someone willing to be mentored to become chair of this program for next year (2011-2012). This is an invaluable anti-bully program that teaches respect and caring in our students.
Kids Can Knit Chair – We require a person who can knit, who wants to lead an afterschool knitting program for students. In previous years, the knitted items produced were donated to charity.
Contact Marisa Pozas at volunteers@marshalllanepta.org if you are able to volunteer for any of our events.
