Get Ready to Walk on Sunshine!
Walk-a-thon: 1:00pm to 2:00pm
Students will walk and/or run as many laps as they can. Parent volunteers will track the laps they walk/run on the student’s t-shirt.
Parents are encouraged to come and cheer on their student(s) as they run/walk!
Family Celebration: 2:30PM to 4:00pm
We welcome you to stay after dismissal for food, games, music and more!

What is a Walk-a-thon?
A school fundraiser in which students raise money by collecting donations (flat fee) or pledges (per lap) for walking/running a course set up in the Upper lot field. The funds support valuable programs for our students through the PTA. This year’s theme is “Walking on Sunshine”
All students will receive a free t-shirt to wear at the event.
2024 Marshall Lane Walk-a-thon T-shirts are available for adults to purchase.
If you are planning on volunteering for the event, please consider purchasing a shirt.

What is Pledgestar?
On online fundraising system that creates a personalized fundraising page for your student(s) and allows you to send out customized pledge requests to family and friends or share their fundraising page on social media.
For every family that registers, a 2024 Marshall Lane Walk-a-thon bracelet will be given to the student(s) prior to the event.
*There will be no individual lap prizes, only class level prizes this year.

What to expect the day of the Walk-A-Thon
Anyone adult wishing to come to the event will need to enter school grounds through the front office.
Students will walk and/or run as many laps as they can from 1-2pm. All grade levels will walk/run together.
After the race is completed, students will be taken back to their classrooms for their usual dismissal time.
Parents will need pick up their child after dismissal and accompany them to the Family Celebration in the Upper Lot Playground.
All students must be accompanied by an adult to attend the Family Celebration.
